As the receptionist at the rex, you are the heart of our hospitality and the first point of contact for our guests. Your role is pivotal in creating a warm and memorable experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. You are not just managing check-ins and check-outs; you are crafting personalized journeys for each guest, ensuring their stay is smooth, enjoyable, and tailored to their needs. Whether it's assisting with reservations, recommending local activities, or enhancing the ambiance of the hotel, you are essential in shaping the overall guest experience. Your attention to detail, warm demeanor, and proactive approach help ensure that every guest feels at ease and re-energized during their time at the rex.



What You'll Do:




Create Memorable Guest Experiences:

Ensure that every guest enjoys an unforgettable journey from the moment they arrive until their departure. You'll assist with planning and enhancing their stay in Zermatt, always listening carefully to their needs and requests.

Flawless Operations:

Manage all transactions accurately in our Property Management System (Mews Systems), ensuring the smooth execution of all Front Office processes.

Set the Ambiance:

Help maintain the hotel's welcoming atmosphere, from selecting the right music to adjusting the lighting, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable environment for our guests.

Personalized Welcome:

Greet and bid farewell to our guests with a personal touch, ensuring they feel genuinely welcome and appreciated throughout their stay.

Support at the Bar:

Assist the barkeeper when needed, contributing to the overall guest experience. We offer comprehensive bar training to ensure you can provide this support effectively.

Manage Reservations & Guest Correspondence:

Efficiently handle guest reservations and ensure all inquiries are responded to promptly and reliably. You create personalied journeys for guests including suggesting and booking activities, restaurants and other services to complete their time in Zermatt.

You are eager to learn, enjoy interacting with people, and love making connections with others.

Language Skills:

You are fluent in both German and English; French is a plus.
