Projecting a warm and kind image and passionate and helpful product knowledge, the role requires significant multi-tasking and prioritising skills and is the key customer facing function at the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Customer Experience
- Serving clients and delivering a sales ceremony in line with company values and brand essence
- Being up to speed with all products including any new seasonal additions and guiding clients to make purchases in line with their tastes and needs
- Taking orders and special orders, liaising with production to ensure their successful and timely fulfilment
- Daily checking existing orders and preparing for their correct (packaging) delivery at the requested time
- Following up on any uncollected orders in time/throughout the day
- Making and serving drinks according to set standards and prepping any drinks or products in advance of the day
- Ensuring products are presentably and safely packaged when purchased
- Building warm relationships with clients and cultivating regular/repeat purchases
Shop Presentation and Stock Management
- Morning preparation to ensure products on shelves are fully stocked, necessary packaging is in the shop and the vitrine is laid of with daily products
- Restocking of the shop floor with products during the day
- Tracking items that are selling out and informing production at the daily morning meeting
- Monitoring sell-by-dates of packaged items on shop floor
- Packaging ready-made items as and when needed to ensure all available items are presented on the shop floor
- Ensuring shop is clean, cleared and well-presented and merchandised at all times
- Liaising with rest of the team in advance when further packaging support is required, to facilitate planning
- Work closely with Head of Bakery and Head Chocolatier to ensure shop is fully stocked
- Report any issues to manager
Client Orders
- Take orders and special orders according to outlined process
Organisation
- Keeping track of packaging material and ensure items are ordered in good time
- Recording and reporting complaints and client feedback to manager and back-of-house when relevant
- Reporting daily card and cash intake to Manager
- Ensuring shop is clean and presentable, overseeing and supporting daily end-of-day cleaning
- Responsible for the packaging section of the stock room
- Responsible for the organisation of Front of House areas (packaging, admin items, etc)
- Meetings: Daily meetings with production team, weekly meetings with manager, monthly full team meetings
Job Type: 80-100%
Pay: CHF3'840.00 - CHF4'800.00 per month
