The University of Zurich (UZH) is a world-leading institution renowned for its excellence in research and education. The Center for Applied Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine (CABMM) is affiliated with the Vetsuisse Faculty at the UZH and is dedicated to advancing clinically oriented translational research. It serves an interdisciplinary research network that brings together basic scientists and clinicians from veterinary and human medicine, enabling them to exchange scientific advances and to jointly develop new therapeutic approaches.
The CABMM is embarking on a new mission in the upcoming years: producing online, print, audio, and video scientific communications to highlight consensus opinions, the state of the field, and promising opportunities in translational research.
To increase our visibility and output, and to expand and strengthen our member network, we are seeking a highly motivated person to support our team in science communication.
Your responsibilities

Writing scientific articles based on scientific consensus reached by focus groups on specific themes in translational research or highlighting the member network's scientific achievements,
Organization and coordination of scientific communication (opinion/position articles, white papers, social media posts),
Actively engaging with the member research network and beyond to connect experts around a topic and craft consensus communication to share with the scientific community,
Curating scientific content for online and print CABMM communication channels (e.g., website, social media, newsletter) and adapting it to different target groups (broad audience or scientific experts),
Creating visual content (e.g., flyers, graphical abstracts, posters) to promote seminars or scientific meetings and to communicate scientific advancements,
Assisting in the organisation of courses, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Your profile
----------------
Degree in natural sciences or healthcare, and familiarity with interdisciplinary, translational research,
Excellent communication skills in German and English, both verbal and in writing, are a prerequisite,
Extensive experience in scientific writing (e.g., grants, papers) and social media engagement and content creation,
Interest in quality management processes,
Creative person with a high level of self-initiative and self-dependence,
Organized and structured working style,
Curious and engaged team player.
