Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is currently working with a Metals trading house looking to expand their scrap desk across Non-ferrous and/or ferrous metal. The opportunity is for somebody to be based out of Zurich, working as a mid/senior level trader with a focus on Copper or Aluminium ideally.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work towards growing relationships with both suppliers and customers across scrap metal (tin, lead, zinc, aluminium, copper, steel etc)
• Take responsibility for back-to-back trading business of Scrap Metals and manage own PnL
• Be sure to promote business wherever possible and actively seek to develop product offering and geographical reach
• Maintain knowledge on relevant industry trends/insights and be able to provide accurate information to clients while using this grow business across scrap
• Travel to meet clients when required to complete business and develop relationships

Requirements:

• Experience working in a physical trading environment at a trading house
• Must have an existing/transferable book of business across scrap metal (ferrous or Non-ferrous)
• Excellent practical knowledge of the scrap metal market across Europe
• Experienced closing deals and onboarding new clients
• Must speak English, additional languages will be beneficial (German, Italian, French etc)
