We are seeking an experienced Senior Applications Engineer to join our sales team. Reporting to the Technical Director, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the metalworking industries, along with deep knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Tasks, Responsibilities, Competences

Sales Support (Recruit):

To assist Sales in the establishment of test criteria & product recommendations To assist Sales in handling of incoming application and/or service-related inquiries To assist and/or lead efforts to gain customer/industry approvals per assignment

Sales Support (Retain & Recover):


To assist Sales in the evaluation, assessment & communication of our value propositions at larger accounts, lead users and industry partners Troubleshooting - assist sales team and ensure timely follow through of complaints

Training & Education:

Lead the technical training of the Sales Team To continuously educate, train, and coach Sales Team on the use of our Sales Tools Attend relevant Association meetings/seminars upon request e.g., STLE Continuously acquire and gain knowledge, skills and industry i

Objective / purpose of the function

To support the Head of Customer Service & Product Line Manager To support and educate BSL & Distributor Sales Force To solve customer problems, concerns & issues in coordination with the Sales team

Requirements


Formation (technical) / Experiences (profession, leadership, industry) / Skills (IT, languages,
market, product, technique, machines) / Capability (personal) / Specials (willingness for travel),
representations in associations etc.)Self-motivated, goal oriented and capable to handle multiple tasks 5+ years of experience in the Metalworking Industry B.Eng./BSE -or- equivalent work experience/certifications Knowledge of machining processes, materials & tooling Sales-, Communication- & Relationship-building Skills Good knowledge & use of the English language (verbal and written) Strong oral presentation skills Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint) skills Experience with CRM software Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally)

Work Location: Remote (USA)
Salary: $125,000 - $145,000
