Your role

Being an experienced mechanical and process lead engineer in the scope of Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP). You have strong interest in design, mechanical integrity, operations and protection concepts of mechanical components and related systems within the scope of turbomachinery accessories and balance of plant systems.

• Working on standard and complex upgrade projects, taking over ownership for specific work packages and entire complete system - being responsible for scope, schedule, and budget
• Able to prioritize, plan and execute tasks for assigned work packages and complete systems, even when executing multiple projects.
• Able to prepare piping and instrumentation diagram on basis of knowledge and internal clarification / alignment with process engineering, controls functional safety and outcomes of FMEA or HAZOPs.
• Being able to execute compressible and non-compressible fluid calculations of entire fuel and air systems.
• Being able to formulate essential process parameters for systems and equipment design and system capacity checks.
• Being able to work out operation concepts for entire system and to collaborate with GT process Team / System Integration Team, as well as controls, electrical & instrumentation, to support the development of protection and control concepts.
• Being able to leverage available knowledge to propose new technical solution and concept for any Gas Turbine accessories or Mechanical BOP system improvements.
• Support fleet management and to resolve complex customer issues and drive improvements.
• Supports root cause analysis (RCAs) or (NCR) to improve service upgrade products and components.

Required

• Bachelor or master\\\'s degree in mechanical engineering/process engineering or equivalent with specialization in process automation, energy technology, thermodynamics, or system engineering
• 10+ years of relevant experience in the ower Industry, ideally field services, process engineering, mechanical engineering or in a similar position
• Strong knowledge of process/system engineering of Gas Turbines and Mechanical Accessories
• Good knowledge process technology
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations make judgments based on practice or previous experience
• Ideally specific knowledge about the relevant International Codes and Standards like ANSI, ASME, ISO, EN, API, HIS, NFPA, HEI, PTC etc.
• Structured and independent work method
• Fluent in written and spoken English
