Job Description

As a senior underwriter in the Global Credit Lines team, you will contribute to credit risk analysis & underwriting of Zurich's credit-related insurance products, notably captive reinsurance transactions, deductibles, surety bonds and trade credit insurance.
This will involve performing fundamental counterparty credit analysis, reviewing individual underwriting submissions received from countries, and leveraging AI and machine learning technologies to enhance the efficiency of the review process.
What you will do
Your main responsibilities will involve:

• Credit risk assessment of corporates and captive reinsurance companies:

• Conduct thorough credit risk assessments of corporate entities and captive reinsurance companies by analysing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data
• Utilize AI-driven tools to evaluate the creditworthiness of these entities, identifying potential risks and default probabilities
• Review underwriting submissions for captives, surety and trade credit
• Contribute to the digitalisation of credit risk underwriting and the validation of AI-driven credit risk analysis

What you bring
Your skills and qualifications will include:

• Degree in finance, economics, accounting or similar
• Strong Credit Risk analytical expertise and approval background
• Understanding of credit rating methodologies, both external and internal rating approaches
• Fluent English, including solid writing skills to write concise credit write-ups
• At ease with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel (VBA Basics are a plus)
• Demonstrate continuous learning and curiosity to continue to grow with new technologies
• Strong team-working skills for working alongside colleagues from different countries
