Caterpillar is searching for a Senior Director and Regional Treasurer, a position based in Geneva, Switzerland. This role is responsible for treasury operations across the Europe, Africa, Middle East and Eurasia (EAME) region and leadership of the company's Export Credit Agency finance team.
The Senior Director and Regional Treasurer will provide strategic financial leadership in the region and across Caterpillar. The role is responsible for EAME treasury operations, which includes leading the regional treasury team and chairing a regional personnel committee to develop top talent.
The Senior Director and Regional Treasurer provides oversight to the Swiss Caterpillar Pension Foundation and may be appointed to serve as a board member. This role also serves as the Managing Officer of several Caterpillar legal entities.
This position provides a unique opportunity to be part of a leading global finance organization, while also being the senior leader for a team that interacts with a broad group of process partners, including banks, technology providers and business units.
What You Will Do:

  • Manage Caterpillar's EAME Treasury operations including In-House banking, funding for 150 Cat entities, Liquidity Planning, Treasury Technology, Swiss Pension management/oversight and serve as the Swiss entities Managing officer.
  • Be a strategic enabler for profitable growth by providing strategic thought leadership and insights to support profitable growth.
  • Optimize global cash and liquidity leveraging in-house banking across EAME.
  • Enhance the focus on financial integrity, controls and enabling a strong risk mitigation culture.
  • Provide senior leadership and support for Caterpillar Swiss Pension Fund.
What You Will Bring (Skills & Experience):
  • Extensive experience in process, customs, policies and rules affecting the way an organization is administered, controlled and ability to ensure compliance with guidelines and policies.
  • Expert knowledge in effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational, tactical and strategic planning.
  • Expert ability to communicate complex concepts.
  • Expert knowledge of relationship management techniques and ability to maintain healthy relationships with clients, vendors and peers.
  • Expert knowledge on Strategic Thinking.
  • Extensive experience in the ability to tactfully dispense direct, actionable feedback and the ability to deal head-on with people problems/challenging situations.
  • Extensive knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
  • Expert knowledge of industry trends, issues, regulatory considerations and ability to apply industry knowledge to a diverse set of situations.
Top Candidate Will Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration.
  • Previous supervisory experience with 10+ years in financial analysis, debt capital markets, trade finance, banking, liquidity management or financial strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and effective communication, complemented by advanced proficiency in productivity enhancing software and apps.
  • Demonstrate initiative, leadership, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to prioritize workflow and accomplish tasks across the organization through collaboration and delegation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a strong compliance culture (organization, policies and procedures) highly desired.
  • Proven track record of demonstrating courage and emotional intelligence, including a high level of responsibility, initiative and stress tolerance.

Compensation Grade Range:
Compensation and benefits may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market, location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
