Your role

As Senior Linux System Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are responsible for the operation and engineering of our on premise Linux/Unix IT infrastructure (including HW - servers and storage) and provide efficient and stable operations for the bank.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for operation, maintenance and expansion of our Linux and Unix systems as well as their basic infrastructure (storage, hardware)
• Ensure of a proper life cycle management of the managed services
• Collaborate in the conception and implementation of projects as well as further development and optimization of the existing infrastructure
• Providing second level support within the existing support organization and responsibility
• Support the on-call organization as a member

Your profile

• University degree (university / FH) in Computer Science or an adequate education level
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) is a plus
• 5+ years of practical experience in the field of Linux System Engineering in large enterprises
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge in the area of IBM and Netapp storage systems is an advantage
• Hands-on mentality
• Fluency in English, German is a plus
