About the team you are joining
IATA Corporate services (CS) encompass Corporate Finance, Treasury and Tax, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), Global Finance Operations, Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration and Procurement activities.
Join our Corporate Services division to help build the next generation Finance organization for IATA. The ambition that we have set ourselves as a division is to "Be the trusted proactive partner, providing data-driven and AI- enabled corporate services for the business, while upholding the highest fiduciary standards."
The Senior Manager, FP&A Projects is responsible for leading the financial management of projects globally at IATA. This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Director, FP&A.
What your day would be like
The Senior Manager, FP&A Projects will play a key role in aligning priorities with the ambitions of Corporate Services supporting the successful delivery of IATA's strategy and Board-monitored objectives.
In this role, you will lead the following key activities:
  • Ensure project controlling practices are managed globally in an agile, efficient and business-oriented manner
  • Lead the global forecasting, planning and budgeting processes for projects
  • Enhance the depth and quality of financial analysis delivered to key stakeholders
  • Leverage digital tools to support data analysis and operational metrics, enabling proactive, insight-driven decision making
  • Serve as IATA's Project Global Process Owner (GPO) developing a formal project policy within the Finance Policy Manual (FPM) and establishing associated standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (via the CIP - continuous improvement program), focusing on operational efficiency, process optimization, and the adoption of best practices across the organization,
  • Build strong partnerships with peers across the organization (including the PMO team and business leaders), offering proactive guidance and oversight of project performance,
  • Collaborate closely with the ERP (BORA) project team to ensure project-related processes are enhanced and automated wherever possible.
We would love to hear from you if
  • Over 7 years of relevant experience in managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance within multinational organizations
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Graduated as a Chartered Accountant or University degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Proficiency in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms, and a tech- savvy mindset
  • Experience in streamlining financial processes and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • A proven track record in designing and implementing cost management frameworks and project controlling practices
  • A desire to grow your business acumen and the ability to build trust with key stakeholders
  • Fluent in English
