About the team you are joining



The IATA Strategic Partnerships Program (SPP) is a platform for a range of aviation solution providers to build, as well as strengthen relationships with key industry stakeholders. Through their participation in various working groups, over 500 Strategic Partners gain insight into airlines' priorities and have the opportunity to be recognized for their cooperation with IATA in serving the air transport industry.



This role reports to the Head of the SPP and will be an essential player in driving product management activities and lending critical support to the Team.

What your day would be like



The core responsibility of the role is to drive and manage product innovation and product development activities, and to execute strategic business plans for the SPP. As part of the role, you will share ownership with the SP Team of the product management lifecycle from identification of industry needs, concept definition and market size estimation, to execution of product go-to market, including scheduling, pricing and quality assurance. On a need basis, you will conduct competitor benchmarking, prepare business case studies and conduct financial and commercial analysis of performance of the products in your portfolio. You will have financial responsibility over accounts and own commercial objectives.



Daily, you will drive activities and manage a diverse set of industry stakeholders, by:



Defining a strategy and product roadmap by engaging and developing with IATA subject matter experts (SMEs) content updates and new product ideas in line with industry needs and new standards; Managing, supporting and monitoring the SP areas to ensure that IATA delivers value on its SPP activities; Driving new areas and increasing working group activities where required in close collaboration with SMEs; Engaging with IATA's regional sales managers on lead generation, pipeline growth and participating in customer meetings as and when required, providing updates on program changes and enhancements; Support renewal activities with regional sales and driving marketing campaigns to push the pipeline of potential partners; Contribute to the SPP team's work on marketing to define and execute the marketing strategies and ensure that market needs are incorporated into the product strategy; Holding commercial responsibility over accounts;
Directly support the Head of SPP on financial exercises including the 3-year business plan, budget, sales target, forecast and ensuring that the SP areas managed are profitable and growing.



We would love to hear from you if


A minimum of ten years of professional experience in a similar role with strong commercial and financial acumen; Experience in product management, business development, sales with P&L responsibility, and finance a plus ; Highly-motivated self-starter who is focused on results and customer service with a strong sense of initiative, ownership, accountability and confidence to build new products; Assertiveness and personal drive to seek new business opportunities and exceed commercial targets; Ability to develop relationships and work constructively with cross-functional teams at many levels (subject matter experts, legal services, commercial performance, marketing, finance, regional sales), as well as effectively engage with other external stakeholders and clients; Knowledge of the commercial aviation industry (an asset); Detail oriented (follow the product lifecycle management process to obtain results);
