As a

Senior Indirect Procurement Specialist

, you will play a key role in ensuring that our procurement strategies are efficient, compliant, and value-driven. Your work will directly support the development of next-generation cardiovascular devices that improve patient outcomes worldwide.

What You'll Do

Lead and execute

purchasing and supply management activities for all indirect categories at our Zurich Manufacturing Site.

Develop and implement

cost-effective and compliant procurement strategies that create value and support business goals.

Collaborate across teams

to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier consolidation.

Drive supplier relationships

through selection, negotiation, and contract execution for high-value projects.

Partner with global colleagues

to share best practices and explore synergies across Abbott divisions.

Ensure quality and compliance

by working closely with cross-functional teams.

Contribute to innovation

by continuously improving source-to-pay processes and leveraging digital tools.

Upon success, future opportunities await managing major direct suppliers for medical device components.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in

Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field

; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.

8+ years of experience

in procurement, contract management, engineering, or project management, including 3-5 years in purchasing/sourcing. Strong

communication and stakeholder engagement skills

, with the ability to influence and build relationships. Fluent in

English

(C1 level minimum);

German

preferred. Proficiency in

procurement systems and digital sourcing tools

. Familiarity with

ISO 13485

and regulatory requirements is an advantage. Experience in the

medical device industry

is a plus.
