In order to reinforce the Social Media team at its Headquarters in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, SWATCH is currently searching for a

SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM LEADER 100%

In this position you will not only lead the Social Media Team, you will also be asked to think of this role as the leader of an in-house social media agency, defining and implementing the Social Media strategy worldwide. You will be responsible for the management and development of our social media channels to support the Swatch Digital Marketing strategy, increase our customer’s engagement and provide thought-leadership on best social media practices and next-generation digital trends.


Main responsibilities will include:

  • Own and define the global social media strategy for Swatch and ensure a successful execution
  • Lead the Social Media team responsible for the brand’s organic social media presence on various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat, WeChat, Weibo, etc. accounts worldwide)
  • Create content strategies for the different Social Media channels and manage the social media ecosystem with your team
    Develop a social media editorial calendar and create content for it together with the Content team
  • Create and coordinate social media concepts and engaging activations for the Swatch community
  • Develop a tone of voice guideline for our community communication
  • Manage the day to day activities of social media management including sourcing content (in conjunction with our Content team), executing campaigns, and analyzing performance and results
  • Collaborate with Swatch worldwide subsidiaries and agents for digital guidelines, budget allocation, consistent global messages and localization. Support local markets in all social media management questions, monitor content and check quality of all social media local versions
  • Manage external agencies and partners
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to amplify Social Media content
  • Implement social media listening tools to monitor online conversations, and identify social media relevant trends
  • Responsible for budget planning for Social Media.

Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Social Media Marketing
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a social media team

  • You have a combination of creative, analytical , and strategic thinking skills
  • You have a keen eye for content and you can judge which type of content is meaningful, appropriate, fits our brand DNA and is valuable in each situation or on each platform
  • You are a fun, positive, curious and over creative personality with passion for telling stories
  • You have experience in managing a budget for content promotion on social channels and sponsoring posts
  • You bring a strong knowledge and understanding of technology, search, new trends and the latest in social media innovation,
  • You have strong interpersonal and analytical skills with great attention to detail,
  • You are able to manage multiple projects involving coordination with various departments both internally and externally.
  • You are an agile person who can at one moment discuss strategy and planning and in the next ensure successful execution

Languages

In addition, you possess excellent communications skills and are fluent in English, German and/or French is a plus.
