The Honeywell Building Management Systems line of business in EMEA represents $500 million in revenue. It provides DDC and PLC solutions for automation applications in industry, buildings and infrastructure. It also provides new install and retrofit solutions for energy efficiency and comfort of the building environment, using controls for the optimisation of lighting, heating, cooling and ventilation systems for residential and commercial buildings.

What are we looking for?

We have an opportunity for a Software Application Engineer to join our innovative and friendly team on site in Givisiez, Switzerland. The Software Application engineer will be working as part of an agile team to design and develop application libraries and templates to enable our System integrators to work professionally and efficient in sustainable and profitable projects in Healthy Building and critical Infrastructure applications. She /He will be working closely with offering management, R&D and customers.

What will you be doing every day?

Developing application libraries and templates for PLC controllers based on Codesys platform Develop communication drivers for protocols used in Industry and building automation on all supported platforms Research and prototyping for workflow improvements / Collaboration with Engineering team to improve tools based on customer feedback Key customer support including consulting, workshops, tests, onsite support Knowledge transfer to Support / Sales organizations

What skills and requirements do you need?

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software or Automation Engineering

Experience in PLC programming

(preferred IEC 61131 - Structured Text) Experience in object oriented programming Experience programming in JAVA or similar languages Experience with mark-up languages, HTML or XML Ambitious, positive, self starting, problem solving, creative, proactive Good communication skills in English.
