Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a large bank in Switzerland, we are looking for a Software Engineer.
Location: Zurich (Hybrid)
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Until 31.12.2025 - with possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance Java microservices to synchronize data catalogs and modeling tools.
- Implement services for retrieving and managing lineage metadata.
- Validate data models and ensure consistency across systems.
- Document solutions and transfer knowledge after project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software development with Java.
- Extensive experience with Java microservices.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Maven, Packaging, OpenAPI, Authentication/Security, API clients, REST, Json, and Mockito.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab or similar).
- Familiarity with unit and integration testing.
- Practical knowledge of API development (implementing clients and services).
- Experience with file I/O operations (reading and writing from/ to files)
- Background in error handling and logging.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages, particularly German, is a significant advantage.
