We are recruiting a Specialist Strategic Communications based in Zug, Switzerland, for 12 months' contract.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and protecting Johnson & Johnson's reputation in Switzerland. You will support implementing communication strategies that build trust, strengthen our corporate image, and position us as a responsible and innovative healthcare leader.
As a trusted advisor, you will provide counsel to senior leaders on communication opportunities and challenges, manage sensitive issues with discretion and impact, and deliver clear, consistent messaging across internal and external audiences. You will also collaborate closely with the Campus Team, the Innovative Medicine business, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of our communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES/PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Essential Functions)
Strategic Communication & Reputation Management

• Develop and execute communication activities that reinforce the company vision and long-term communication strategy.
• Proactively promote Johnson & Johnson's positive image and reputation through impactful storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
• Anticipate and manage issues or crises by preparing communication strategies, advising senior leaders, and ensuring timely, transparent responses.
• Support in answering media requests, align with journalists in-line with the companies position.

Leadership Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a communications consultant to senior leaders, providing strategic guidance on positioning, messaging, and executive visibility.
• Educate internal stakeholders on Johnson & Johnson's business priorities, challenges, and contributions to healthcare and society.
• Foster cross-functional alignment by working closely with other functions to ensure a consistent and unified communication approach.

Operational Excellence & Support

• Provide hands-on communication support for functional and business partner activities as needed.
• Contribute to initiatives and projects requiring communication expertise, ensuring clarity, consistency, and engagement.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry or at a leading communications agency.
• Demonstrated expertise in reputation management, issues and crisis communication, and executive advisory.
• Native/excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German; French is an advantage.
• Strong storytelling skills and experience across a range of communication formats and channels, including digital and social media.
• High customer focus, strong collaboration, and ability to influence cross-functional teams and operate efficiently in a matrix organization.
• Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize, remain flexible, and deliver results under pressure.
• Conceptual and strategic thinking, combined with pragmatic execution.

Additional Information

• This position is based in Zug on a hybrid basis.
• We offer a fixed-term contract for 12 months
