The Sr. Global Master Planner is a strategic leader responsible for optimizing global inventory and raw material flows to support the production of Invisalign across the APAC, EMEA, and Americas regions. This role ensures supply continuity, drives process improvements, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence.
The position is fully based onsite, 5 days per week, in Rotkreuz (EMEA HQ).
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Planning
Develop and maintain monthly and rolling 18-month material consumption and purchasing forecasts for global production plants.
Convert consumption forecasts into actionable purchasing plans for critical suppliers. - Ensure optimal inventory levels to minimize costs and maximize service.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary support for the Regional Planning and Purchasing teams in consumption and purchase forecasting.
Collaborate with Regional Planning, Commerce Planning, and Purchasing to ensure material availability and compliance with inventory policies. - Partner with the Sourcing team and participate in quarterly business reviews with key global vendors.
Vendor & Data Management
Conduct inventory analysis for project transitions and provide data to support financial decisions.
Maintain and optimize key system inputs to drive replenishment and inventory strategies
Process Improvement & Leadership
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and create business value.
Lead or participate in periodic regional planning meetings.
Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years' experience in global material planning or production scheduling, preferably in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
Experience with MRP and SAP ECC / S/4HANA ERP-based replenishment processes.
Strong project management skills and experience implementing new business processes and driving organizational change.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple demands.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
Advanced knowledge of operations/manufacturing systems, including S&OP/MRP concepts.
Skilled in MS Office with Excel proficiency (Copilot experience a plus).
Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
SAP ECC and S/4HANA required.
APICS CPIM/CSCP or PMP certification preferred.
