The University of Zurich (UZH) plays a prominent role in Open and Reproducible Science, both na-tionally and internationally. With the Center of Reproducible Science and Research Synthesis (CRS), UZH pursues the goal to maintain the overall reproducibility of empirical research and to promote original research in metascience.

Your responsibilities

The successful candidate will contribute to a funded research project related to forensic metasci-ence and research integrity. The project focuses on questionable research practices (QRPs) in the planning of clinical trials. Key responsibilities of the candidate will include:Identifying and classifying QRPs and potential misconduct that arise during the planning phase of clinical trials, through literature review and expert consultations. Developing and applying methods and tools to detect "red flags" in trial protocols. Managing and analysing an in-house database of clinical trial protocols. Contributing to the development of evidence-based recommendations to strengthen the protocol review process.

Your profile

The successful candidate should have a strong interest in quality and integrity issues of clinical research, via a metascientific approach. Specifically, the candidate should haveA Master's or a PhD degree in (Bio)statistics or related field. Experience as a statistician working on clinical trials. Strong analytical, computational and data management skills, including R and Git. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent knowledge of English, with strong communication and scientific writing skills. Demonstrated experience in metascience, literature reviews and qualitative research are a plus.
