Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with an international steel trading company managing a global portfolio of finished product and scrap as well as raw materials and byproducts. To continue their growth, the firm is looking to grow out their business in the Middle East and North Africa through the addition of an experienced back to back steel trader with expertise on these markets.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain relationships with steel mills, suppliers, producers in the Middle East and North Africa
• Build sales channels for finished and scrap steel product across the region
• Manage the full back to back trading process and follow market news and advisory to keep on top of current industry trends
• Increase supplier availability and manage relationships with sales managers at steel mills
• Work with the senior management on the growth of the firm, looking into new product lines, trading routes and geographies

Experience:

• 3-7 years experience in back to back steel trading
• Good knowledge of finished steel products (both primary and scrap)
• Back to Back experience within the North African and Middle East
• Strong network of suppliers and customers in that region
• Fluent in English (additional languages Arabic, French etc a benefit)
