Student Assistant - WebcamInsight 20 - 40 %

We are looking for a student assistant to join WebcamInsight, a project funded by the BRIDGE and the UZH Entrepreneur Fellowship programs. We are a small team developing methods to automatically derive weather and environmental information from publicly accessible webcam images, such as fog and cloud layers, snow cover, and vegetation changes. Our goal is to turn our research methods into datasets and tools that can be used in real-world applications.

Your responsibilities

Support webcam data management and preprocessing Prepare training data and run models to derive fog and cloud information from images Assist with image analysis and model testing

Your profile

----------------


Enrolled Bachelor's or Master's student in computer science, data science, geography, environmental sciences, or a related field Solid Python skills (NumPy, pandas, OpenCV, etc.), and some experience in computer vision and deep learning (PyTorch/TensorFlow) Reliable and independent working style
