About this role:

\\n

Supply Chain Planning Lead is a challenging and highly visible role that serves as the primary interface within and between PO&T (Pharmaceutical Operations & Technology) and Commercial Business organization for commercial demand/supply product planning. You ensure business continuity and uninterrupted, efficient drug supply, whilst minimizing E&O (Excess and Obsolescence) for a defined portfolio of Assets.

The position works closely together with Commercial, External and Internal Manufacturing, Quality Operations, Asset Leads, Network Strategy and Planning, and respective Site Heads to ensure Customer Supply and Business Continuity for a portfolio of Assets.

You work with CMC and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure compliant supply when implementing new initiatives or changes and ensure the appropriate processes and plans are in place to manage the changes.

\\n

You are able to deal with high levels of ambiguity and risks, anticipates potential risks, develops corresponding contingency plans, recommends mitigation plans to management and is capable of acting independently for strategic and/or complex decisions.

You will act as a coach for your direct reports to support the individual product planners and improve their seniority over time to further improve the maturity of the organization based on yearly development plans and to enable succession planning within the team or Global Supply Chain.

What you\\\'ll do

  • \\n
  • Ensure demand & supply alignment across the commercialized products of Biogen portfolio, understanding main drivers including commercial demand, capacity, inventory target, CMC variation and regulatory implementation timelines supply - making sure any relevant changes and variances are understood and planned for\\n
  • Coordinate the generation and translation of the demand plan into production requirements to the manufacturing sites. Ensure alignment and understanding of priorities and timelines\\n
  • Provide guidance to the creation of scenario analysis in support of different business needs such as product life cycle management, impact of demand changes, contingency plans\\n
  • Ensure that inventory is kept at MFC target levels at all phases of production (Drug Substance, Drug Product, Finished Goods) and minimize E&O\\n
  • Highlight discrepancies and risks and drive towards resolution. Provide input to inventory strategies for new product launches, liaising with Global Strategic planning, Supply Chain Product Leads and other cross-functional teams as required\\n
  • Assure flawless supply of new products. Provide required input and support (inventory setting, supply plan, market input, suggestions) to establish alignment within Global Operations\\n
  • Inform or escalates any supply and business risks to the Global Supply Chain Planning Lead, and Global Supply Chain Lead for visibility, impact, plan of actions and if needed alignment on risk mitigation\\n
  • Lead a team of Asset Planning Leads responsible of a portfolio of Assets for all supply production steps (DS/DP/FG ) and acting as a partial working manager and owning a planning of one DS/DP/FG product by him/herself if and when needed\\n
  • Develop and sustain a high performing organization, ensuring capacity and scalability.\\n
  • Ensure developmental plans are set for all Product Planning Leads and develop a strong capability of planning within the organization\\n
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives in line with the planning strategy and PO&T vision 2026 which is further optimizing COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), and supporting the improvement of the End to End Process and supporting as a SME (subject matter expert) any future planning solution improvement or replacement.\\n

Who you are

Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to articulate recommendations and key decision points to senior management). You demonstrated experience reducing complex subjects to key points. Ability to work in fast paced environments and great organizational skills to effectively balance a broad range of projects and tasks in parallel. Exceptional team player (ability to direct and participate in cross functional and management teams).

\\n Qualifications\\n
\\n
  • \\n
  • Master\\xe2\\x80\\x99s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or similar education required; APICS or CPIM certification (or equivalent) preferred\\n
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in a Demand & Supply Planning role with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry\\n
  • Experience within a global and controlled environment is required\\n
  • Strong leadership skills and influencing across the matrix required\\n
  • Experience with MRP Supply Planning and Demand Planning is a must\\n
  • Experience with Supply Chain and Manufacturing planning tools, preferably Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI, TrackWise, APO, Manugistics, JDE, Kinaxis\\n
  • Project management experience and ability to work in cross-functional teams, Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt is preferred\\n
  • Fluent in English\\n
