Job Description

Morgan Philips Executive Search has been exclusively retained by a hospitality key player to recruit their SVP Human Resources Europe F/H. The role is based in Zurich with frequent travels.
The group owns and operates a diverse portfolio of hotels, restaurants, event venues, resorts, clubs, and lifestyle destinations. As SVP Human Resources Europe you will play a central role in shaping and driving the human resources strategy and operations. You will work closely with the General Management and local HR teams to ensure alignment between HR objectives and the group's overall strategic goals. You will be responsible for talent management, fostering a strong organizational culture, and implementing HR initiatives that support growth and excellence in service.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global HR operations of the group, overseeing the HR strategy at the international level while ensuring effective local implementation.
  • Partner with the General Management to develop HR strategies aligned with the group's business objectives, focusing on talent optimization and performance management.
  • Supervise a team of HR professionals, including HR managers for recruitment, training, talent management, and personnel administration, and coordinate HR initiatives across different divisions and properties.
  • Implement talent development, leadership programs, and retention strategies tailored to the specific needs of the hospitality industry.
  • Manage cross-functional HR projects, including change management, digitalization of HR processes, and continuous improvement of the employee experience.
  • Ensure legal compliance with labor laws, and manage industrial relations in an international and multicultural context.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between the HR teams to maintain consistency in processes and transparency across the organization.
  • Oversee the execution of employee satisfaction and engagement surveys, analyzing the results to define actions aimed at improving company culture.
Required Profile:
  • Higher education qualification in human resources management, hospitality, or a related field, with at least 7-10 years of experience in HR leadership roles, ideally within the hospitality industry or in an international environment.
  • Extensive expertise in strategic HR management, including talent management, training, compensation, and industrial relations.
  • Recognized leader, capable of working collaboratively with senior management while being attuned to the needs of operational teams.
  • Proven track record in driving large-scale HR projects, especially in multinational organizations or hospitality groups.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss labor law and hospitality-specific regulations is essential.
  • Fluent in both German and/or Swiss German, English, and/or French being an advantage.
