As a Technical Service Manager, you will be a vital member of the Global Technical Service team in Service Division located in Baden / Switzerland. Reporting to the Team Manager Technical Service, you will manage medium-complexity consulting assignments. In addition, you will develop and enhance products and services, and support in sales, product & contract management activities ensuring value add to our customers. Come join us.
Your responsibilities:

  • Ensuring fast and efficient resolution of product issues by identifying well-judged technical solutions in collaboration with product representatives and external partners.
  • Settling commercial warranty and goodwill cases while considering long-term customer relationships and company interests, as well as monitoring associated costs.
  • Conducting risk and opportunity analyses, proposing, and initiating actions to mitigate and control risks, as well as activities to capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Building strong relationships to facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Negotiating contracts to win consulting assignments and providing technical assistance and guidance to the sales team.
  • Aiding the development of processes and tools, ensuring compliance with regulations and contracts, and investigating inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Coaching and developing consultants to deliver assignments with a focus on operational execution and excellence.
  • Travelling globally by request (around 25%).
Your background:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of relevant products and applications as well as customer requirements in the turbocharger market.
  • Preferably more than 2 years of experience in technical customer consulting and long-term willingness to acquire experience and knowhow in the turbocharging business.
  • Conflict and project management skills complemented by a proven track record in conducting customer negotiations is beneficial.
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of field bus systems, especially with CAN
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies.
  • Demonstrated management capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages desirable.
