The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of Technical Product Information in accordance with established writing guidelines and standards. This role involves monitoring and inspecting content, working closely with the team's Technical Writers, reporting on any quality-related issues, and providing training to Technical Writers.
This is where you'll excel
You oversee the correction and review of documentation created by the local Technical Writers
You establish, improve and update writing guidelines for English content creation
You troubleshoot issues with technical writers, create effective solutions, and ensure proper support for the Technical Writers in the team
You assume the responsibility for quality and standards as an ambassador
You assume responsibility for creating and updating documentation included with products based on norms and company-internal standards
You coach and mentor junior technical writers and onboarders across different businesses and conduct training courses for new onboarders
You complete timely and accurate audits; report on findings
You ensure all relevant regulations, work rules, and quality procedures are followed on the department
These are the skills you'll need
You possess a high level of technical expertise
You have advanced user knowledge in XML-based editing systems, preferably ST4 and have knowledge of media editing
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
You focus on service and customer-orientation and a commitment to quality
You can work on a team and independently, and have good communication skills, and a sociable demeanour
You are willing to work with international teams, with sound intercultural skills & understanding
You have the ability to convey difficult concepts in a simple and understandable manner
* 10 - 15 % of travel for onsite training
