Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working alongside a European trading house specializing in the energy industry across gas and power. They have begun searching for a Treasury and Risk Manager to expand their team in Lugano. Looking for someone with experience within an energy trading environment.
Responsibilities:

• Take ownership for the management of all risk policies across the business to minimize and control risk potentials and liabilities
• Deal with analysis/ assessments across credit and risk from external parties
• Be involved in monitoring portfolio risk across energy products
• Establish risks created by operational procedures (credit, operational and conduct) and find ways to reduce them through risk assessments, planning and reporting
• Be point of contact with financial institutions with all matters regarding payments/billing, SBLC's, bank guarantees and financing
• Create practices that increase effectiveness of internal processes and controls
• Document findings, changes and developments across treasury and risk functions as reports and annual reviews to present to higher management/ directors and partners
• Be a liaison for all staff with matters regarding to treasury and risk

Experience:

• Hold a degree across a financial discipline (Accounting, Finance, Economics etc)
• More than 4 years' experience in a Risk management/ Treasury position at an SME trading house
• Excellent understanding of corporate/ credit risk and control processes
• Exposure to the energy sector within a trading environment required
• Sound knowledge of Swiss Legal framework and procedures
• High attention to detail and analytically focused
• Good organisation and management skills
