About you

Communication is one of your core strengths. You are self-organized, ambitious, and passionate about languages. You believe the world can be a better place and are ready to commit and push through walls to turn your beliefs into reality. Pioneering the adoption of a new communication system is tough. You understand this and are resilient.

About us

We're a team of over 20 volunteers working across multiple disciplines from linguistics to design, from business development and marketing to product development. We are open and respectful and work remotely and mostly asynchronously. Accountability is key for us and so is teamwork.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced UI and UX designer. We have a range of products developed and maintained by our IT team. We would like you to closely collaborate with them on our existing applications as well as future applications.

Qualifications

Experience in UX or UI design A portfolio of designs you could share with us Strong communication skills Highly independent and driven by self-motivation

Responsibilities

Draft out wireframes for new features in collaboration with the product owners and key stakeholders Support with requirements engineering to formally write down requirements regarding UI and UX Collaborate with a range of developers on several different products Gather feedback and requirements from users to understand how the tools are used and experience to enhance the usability

Several hours per week
