We are looking for a motivated Vessel Operator to join our Coal team at our headquarters in Baar. The Vessel Operator works on all aspects of Coal freight trading from basic transportation and logistics concepts to trading strategies. The employee will work closely with traders, team colleagues in the department as well as with people in other departments and field offices.

The main tasks and responsibilities include

    \\n Coordinating and overseeing day to day operations of allocated vessels\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Providing technical and logistical support to trading for shipping matters\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Preparing and checking Letters of Indemnity, reviewing charterparty clauses and agreements\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Arranging hire payments and freight invoices\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Arranging bunker supplies for the vessels\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Monitoring profit and loss for all the vessels/cargoes\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Other tasks and responsibilities as the Company may see fit\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n The role is 100% office based\\n
    \\n
\\n

The ideal candidate is

  • \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Is efficient, able to work under pressure, very well organized, detailed and comfortable in using IT applications (MS Office)\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Has the ability to integrate into and to work well in a multicultural team and fast-paced environment\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Has an independent, flexible and entrepreneurial work attitude and high motivation to solve problems\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Is self-motivated and willing to take over responsibilities\\n
    \\n
\\n

Qualifications and requirements

    \\n At least 2 years of shipping experience, preferably in time charter operations\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Familiarity of IMOS vessel operating system and Sedna\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Proficiency in English (both verbal and written), any further language is an asset\\n
    \\n
  • \\n
    \\n Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU\\n
    \\n
\\n
