MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


We are seeking a passionate and experienced Yoga Teacher to lead engaging, age-appropriate yoga classes for students aged 8 to 18. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment where students can explore movement, mindfulness, and self-expression through yoga.



The first class is taking place on 9th October 2025. Applications will be reviewed upon reception.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Embody and promote College du Leman's RISE values of Respect, Internationalism, Spirit, and Excellence. Design and deliver weekly yoga sessions adapted to the developmental stages of different age groups (8-11, 12-14, and 15-18). Promote mindfulness, emotional regulation, and physical awareness through posture, breathwork, and relaxation techniques. Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive space that supports student well-being. Monitor student participation. Collaborate with school staff and the extracurricular team to ensure program quality and alignment with school values. Communicate with parents and guardians as needed regarding student progress or concerns. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols during all sessions.
CANDIDATE PROFILE


Qualification

Certification in Yoga Instruction is mandatory (RYT 200 or equivalent). Specialisation in children's or teen yoga is a plus. Experience teaching yoga to children and/or adolescents in an educational or recreational setting. Strong understanding of child and adolescent development. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to adapt teaching style to different age groups and abilities. A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach, with a genuine interest in the development and well-being of young people. Fluent in French and English. First aid and CPR certification preferred.

Work schedule



Weekly sessions during after-school hours, approximately 2 hours on Thursdays.
