About the Role
Swiss Himmel GmbH is seeking an Application Reliability Manager with deep expertise in enterprise banking systems, Swiss-specific interface design & integration, and business process modernization in Basel, Switzerland. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, operational reliability, and automation of mission-critical banking applications while driving business value through process improvements and technology initiatives.
This is a rare opportunity for professionals with combined expertise in Swiss interfaces, core banking products, migration projects, automation, and Agile project management.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure application reliability and uptime (99.9%) for mission-critical banking systems.
Modernize and automate business processes, delivering measurable business impact using Ansible, Selenium.
Apply strong functional knowledge of Credit Card, Loan & Leasing Origination, Debt Collection, and Customer Service processes to deliver optimized solutions.
Design, implement, and support Swiss-specific interfaces: ZEK, Intrum, Eurotax, Zefix, QR Bill, SIC 5, EschKG, Teledata, Crif (Kremo), ensuring seamless integration and compliance.
Lead and manage legacy-to-modern migrations, lifecycle projects, and cutover activities,.
Oversee IBM infrastructure installation and configuration, including IBM WebSphere - deployment & network setup
Design and maintain interfaces with Vision Plus mainframe and Banqsoft SaaS products, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
Drive CI/CD and DevOps workflows using Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Docker, Azure, Nutanix.
Ensure security and compliance: CyberArk integration, Nevis Proxy/IDM, PCI-DSS, penetration test remediation.
Lead production support, DR planning, and incident management for mission-critical systems.
Mentor and manage onshore/offshore teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
Actively contribute to Agile project management, using Jira/Scrum, ServiceNow, and ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.

Technical Skills: Java 8/11, Spring Boot, J2EE, Microservices, REST/SOAP APIs
Automation & DevOps: Ansible, Selenium, Jenkins, Bamboo, SonarQube, Docker
IBM Infrastructure Expertise: WebSphere, IBM Content Manager, IBM Spectrum - installation, configuration, network deployment
Migration & Lifecycle Expertise: Extensive experience in legacy-to-modern migrations, cutover projects, and lifecycle management
Project Management: Agile/Scrum, Jira, ServiceNow, ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)
Security & Compliance: CyberArk, Nevis Proxy, PCI-DSS, penetration testing
Databases: Oracle 19c, MySQL ,MS SQL server
