Indirect Tax
has evolved into one of the most complex areas of tax, presenting significant challenges due to tax authorities taking advantage of an ever-expanding toolbox of legal rules and formal conditions. Drawing upon our extensive expertise in German and wider EU-VAT matters, we ensure that the Indirect Tax position of our client's business is in accordance with the highest standards.
We are seeking an
Associate (m/f/d) - Indirect Tax
for our growing team in Switzerland. This is a chance to develop an in-depth understanding of this complex field, working directly with businesses to optimize their indirect tax processes, providing strategic and innovative tax solutions, defend their interests during interactions with tax authorities, e.g. during tax audits, and providing compliance support. This role will give you unique career opportunities in one of the fastest growing tax practices.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in preparing detailed analyses and practical solutions for complex or controversial indirect tax questions
Take an active role in indirect tax audit preparations and appeals, working closely with senior team members
Engaging on international indirect tax Projects
Continuously expand and deepen expertise in indirect tax by staying updated on regulatory changes and developments
Help to deliver tailored training sessions for clients, ensuring practical knowledge transfer
Contribute to dynamic projects while gaining valuable experience and laying the groundwork for more independent responsibilities in the future
At best you already have the following qualifications:
First relevant work experience in Indirect Tax / VAT, gained from a leading Tax consultancy
A solid understanding of (complex) indirect tax concepts and their practical application to resolve client-specific challenges
Diligent, flexible, and a quick learner with good problem-solving skills
Strong motivation for continuous learning and professional growth
Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
An excellent background in Economics, Finance or Law or a comparable professional background
Business fluency in either German or French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
