For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Kaiseraugst, we are looking for an Automation Engineer Pharma Engineering (m/f/d).
Background:
Homebase Pharma Engineering is seeking an Automation Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in packaging, warehousing, and logistics for its Basel and Kaiseraugst locations. Homebase Pharma Engineering provides professional engineering services to internal business partners in the areas of research, development, launch and market production, as well as packaging, warehousing, and logistics at its Basel and Kaiseraugst sites.
The activities encompass the planning, implementation of projects, and operational engineering of packaging and small-batch packaging systems, focusing on automation. The core focus of this position is the operational engineering of packaging lines for sterile dosage forms. Furthermore, business partners are supported in the ideation and concept development of new, innovative solutions for designing efficient production and packaging processes. As part of the operational engineering, modifications, problem-solving, and efficiency improvements are implemented in direct collaboration with business partners. The process systems to be supported (primarily stand-alone systems) have a very high degree of automation and are extensively networked with each other and with higher-level IT systems.
Tasks and projects are handled without hierarchies in self-organized specialist teams using a role-based work model. This requires a high degree of self-organization, foresight, and team spirit, as well as strong communication skills.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Support of existing and new automation systems integrated into the Roche infrastructure.
Operational engineering to ensure continuous production .
Continuous optimization of process equipment and evaluation, testing, and recommendation of new technologies. Proactive support of business partners in defining and initiating investment projects, including cost estimates and schedules. Collaboration in (leading) interdisciplinary teams with internal and external employees and companies. Independent management of sub-projects in all project phases with responsibility for costs, deadlines, resources, and technical solutions . Support during audits and inspections by internal departments and authorities in the areas of GMP and SHE
(Health, Safety, and Environment).
Must-haves:
Completed vocational training or university degree as a technician/engineer in the field of automation, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a comparable field
At least 5 years of professional experience in an automation environment, preferably with a pharmaceutical background.
Very good user knowledge of automation software, for example: Siemens PCS7, TIA Portal, WinCC, or other systems such as B&R, etc.
Experience with vertical integration of systems into higher-level systems (e.g., automation pyramid/PI & MES).
Sound experience in GMP and GAMP environments.
Willingness to work in an agile, self-organized work environment
. Very good German skills are required; English and French skills are an advantage
. Strong social skills, teamwork skills, and excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills in dealing with stakeholders and at all levels of project work.
