Clinical Application Training & Support Specialist \\xe2\\x80\\x93 EIMEA \\xe2\\x80\\x93 Switzerland

SUMMARY:

Accuray EIMEA is searching for a Clinical Application, Training & Support Specialist, office based in Morges (Switzerland). He/she will be primarily responsible for the clinical application training, application support to the end users and distributors in EIMEA.

He/she is a well-rounded performer and decision maker in routine aspects of clinical applications and physics quality assurance (QA) procedures as related to the safe and effective use of Accuray systems.

This position requires good interaction with diverse group of customers, the ability to effectively transfer information, a commitment to careful data analysis and patient safety, capacity to make decisions in many routine cases, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The specialist will work closely with sales, marketing, customer support department on a variety of cross-functional projects. He/she will act as a subject matter expert and review various training related materials.

Significant travel (up to but not limited to 50%) is expected for on-site training and support activities at customer sites.

REPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT: Manager, Clinical Training and Support

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Training and Support Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide Application and training to clinical team and sales personnel in different format (classroom, onsite, remote)
  • Support assigned trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration/promotion.
  • Responds to customer enquiries and application issues in a timely and professional fashion, following the procedures and ensuring proper tracking and documentation of support activities.
  • Supports development of training curriculum and the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation of the Accuray equipment, as requested.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to keeping up to date with new products, product improvements, software, and procedures relevant to Accuray customers.
  • Ensures customer issues are correctly reported and resolved, understands and voices concerns of the customer.
  • Travels to customer sites to assist and support the first patient treatments.
  • Assists the RTT in the Radiotherapy treatment using Accuray product and treatment devices, patient immobilization techniques, and other patient positioning techniques as needed for simulation and treatment.
  • Maintaining a strong relationship with clinical team to ensure that respective knowledge is transferred to all members of the group.
Safety and Quality
  • Follows required procedures and protocols and revises procedures through correct channels when changes are desired or necessary.
  • Conducts appropriate physics verification activities on hardware and software designs and design changes.
  • Ensures safety and quality considerations and requirements are proactively addressed and implemented to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Addresses and reports in a timely manner all safety and quality issues raised by customers or staff.
  • Support the Accuray Quality System and Health Program by adhering to documented procedures.
Accuray Business

  • Remains an unwavering advocate for patient safety amidst all company business.
  • Understands and supports the political, economic, and market realities of the business and raises any possible concerns about how these may conflict with patient safety.
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor\\xe2\\x80\\x99s degree in engineering, physics, radiation therapy, or equivalent is required.
  • Clinical experience in clinical hospital environments is mandatory.
  • 5 years of prior experience in Radiation Oncology or in Commercial company as an application specialist, Radiation Therapist, Dosimetrist is a plus.
  • Clinical experience with Accuray products is a plus.
  • Training skills and ability to effectively communicate information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to develop positive business relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • Ability to determine the learning styles of various clinical audiences and follow through with training and feedback solutions.
  • Able to stand in front of a large audience and expert\\xe2\\x80\\x99s panel.
  • Self-starter, Team player and strong organizational skills.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Strong basic computer skills, including but not limited to the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) are required.
  • Fluent in English. Another European Language is a plus.
  • Employees can expect to travel up to 50%.
