Database Engineers/Administrators x 2 - SQL/Azure% - Remote
Project: Our client in the energy sector is looking for 2 experienced Data Administrators (Ref:KS). You will join a growing cloud platform team delivering modern data solutions in the energy sector. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and Optimising database services in Azure. Ideal for someone with hands-on experience in Azure data tools and a strong understanding of data operations in hybrid or cloud-native environments.
Tasks:
- Build and maintain database solutions using Azure technologies (e.g. Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse)
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, procedures, and database logic
- Support integration with internal applications and business systems
- Assist in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and monitoring activities
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure data platform stability and reliability
- Follow best practices around data security, availability, and scalability
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Solid experience with Azure database services
- Hands-on knowledge of database performance tuning and automation
- Strong experience with T-SQL and Azure SQL services
- Experience in the energy or trading sector is a strong advantage
- Strong communication skills; fluent English required
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach
