The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.
About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department in Zurich, the F&B Trainee is responsible for assisting their respective team to always provide impeccable service to guests. The Trainee is reporting to their direct supervisors or managers.
Starting Dates: September 2025
As F&B Trainee, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Professional advice and customer care for our guests
Professional serving of food and drinks
Complying with our high-quality standards
Preparing the required mise-en-place, covering and cleaning work in the restaurant area
Supporting your superiors in their daily tasks
Assisting in the preparation and implementation of special events
Complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines
As Trainee, we expect from you:
Enrolled as a student in a Swiss Hotel Management school
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts
Good organisational skills with the ability to handle reservations
Good understanding of luxury service and willingness to go the extra mile
Expressiveness, open-mindedness, and team spirit
Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
