As a Global Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will be part of a cross-functional team. Your location can be flexible within Europe preferrable at dsm-firmenich sites relevant for the Perfumery & Beauty BU such as Basel Area (Kaiseraugst), Switzerland or Paris, France or London, UK or Barcelona, Spain as well as working part-time remote. The activities linked to the position are highly complex due to the dynamics of the Personal Care market and changing regulatory environments. Your responsibility will encompass the integration of Marketing and Sales plans into a regulatory strategy program and its global implementation in cooperation with the regional teams. You will be part of a highly professional and motivated team.

Your key responsibilities
  • Support the joint efforts of the Personal Care (PC) business and guarantee market clearance and compliance according to your product responsibility as part of the PC portfolio.
  • Manage product quality and safety while interfacing with R&D, product and innovation management, toxicologists, QA and QC for manufacturing sites and marketing and sales.
  • Develop the regulatory strategy for new product innovations or claim substantiation.
  • Coordinate submissions of dossiers if required and align with regional colleagues to ensure regulatory compliance of individual PC products.
  • Monitor and report changes in the regulatory environment and assess their impact on the business.
  • Support global customer queries related to PC products and sites.
  • Represent dsm-firmenich in industry associations and consortia, as required, to support PC products and business interests.

You bring
  • Master\\\'s degree / University degree in science.
  • At least 3 to 5 years\\\' experience in Regulatory Affairs, ideally in Personal Care.
  • In-depth interdisciplinary knowledge in the areas such as Analytics, Chemistry and Production, Biology and Toxicology.
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and with multiple stakeholders inside and outside at all levels.
  • Strategic and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in additional languages, especially French and German, is highly desirable.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • Creative and persuasive in identifying the win-win.
  • Ability to adapt and pivot in a dynamic environment.
  • Bring a start-up mentality, act entrepreneurial and shape the opportunity.
  • Affinity to learn, understand and use new systems and processes.
  • Strong communication and social skills combined with cultural understanding and awareness.
