Job Description

We are looking for an experienced cement technologist to oversee the transition from a wet to a dry process.

Company context:

by 2035, we aim to fully transition all production facilities to the dry cement production process. The plant currently runs 1 dry-process line and 4 wet-process lines -- the role's key mission is to lead the wet-to-dry conversion with minimal productivity loss.

Reports to:

Director for R&D and Quality.

Key strategic responsibilities:

1. Technical strategy development:

Analyze and select the most effective available technologies for each production stage: raw meal preparation, clinker burning, cement grinding and blending, packaging, and shipment. Conduct SWOT analyses, benchmarking, and scenario modeling for modernization projects, including alternative strategies for transitioning from wet to dry production. Calculate NPV and economic efficiency for all scenarios; prepare decision-support presentations for senior management.
2. Wet-to-dry conversion leadership:

Design and execute optimal transition plans for converting wet lines to dry process while minimizing downtime and productivity loss. Evaluate options ranging from full new-line construction to phased, hybrid modernization approaches, leveraging existing equipment where feasible.
3. Project department establishment:

Build the department from the ground up, defining an organizational structure. Lead a team of engineers, analysts, and project managers.
4. Productivity and automation:

Identify high-impact automation and mechanization opportunities to achieve labor productivity growth targets.

Requirements:

Expertise in cement production technologies. Experience in international cement companies in roles such as Chief Technologist or Technical Director is a strong advantage. English fluency required.
