In this key leadership role, you will drive innovation and shape the digital future of Belimo. As Head of Research for Digital Applications, you will oversee the development of forward-thinking concepts and technologies, bridging the gap between research and product development. By identifying emerging trends, nurturing talent, and fostering cross-functional collaboration, you will ensure the continuous evolution of our digital ecosystem. This role combines strategic foresight with technical expertise and team leadership, making it essential to Belimo's innovation roadmap.



What You'll Do



Shape and manage the innovation roadmap for the Digital Ecosystem business line



Develop and mentor a high-performing, creative, and collaborative team



Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to create differentiated customer value



Lead and contribute to idea maturation and early-stage innovation projects



Maintain and share domain expertise in software development, cloud, data analytics, and AI



Plan and allocate resources for research and innovation activities across business lines



Ensure timely execution and quality of research outputs and idea maturation initiatives



Build and maintain partnerships with suppliers, academic institutions, and internal networks



Who You Are

Degree from a university or university of applied sciences in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering or similar

Proven team leading experience (several direct reports including disciplinary leadership) as well as cross-functional collaboration

Strong background in software development, embedded systems, and cloud

Comfortable working with external partners such as suppliers and universities

Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on practical innovation and customer value

Creative, curious, and willing to embrace calculated risks and a fail-fast approach

Strong communicator with the ability to inspire and develop others
