Intern (12 months), Corporate Affairs & Digital Communication



About This Role:



The Intern Corporate Affairs & Digital Communication is responsible for executional support at the Swiss Affiliate level within the areas of External Communication, Social Media and Project Management/General Support. Responsibilities will include strong cross-functional collaboration, conceptional and operational accountabilities as well as the coordination of internal review processes and adherence to compliance standards. The role also contributes to Corporate Affairs collaboration within the Switzerland-Austria cluster, supporting joint initiatives and cross-border alignment.


What You'll Do:





External Communication


Support strategic corporate communication and external positioning:


+ Implements lay media activities (e.g. paid media campaigns)
+ Monitors the media landscape and identifies relevant topics for local positioning
+ Manages content updates for corporate and patient websites
+ Ensures messaging consistency aligned with strategic objectives
+ Prepares presentations and materials for external stakeholders
Coordinates disease awareness activities:


+ Project management for public awareness campaigns, incl. coordination of agencies and cross-functional internal team
+ Supports campaign design, content creation/localization, and omnichannel execution
+ Contributes to performance tracking to ensure strategic impact
Provides communication support across the Swiss-Austrian cluster as applicable
Social Media


Drives execution and ongoing refinement of the social media strategy:


+ Manages operations and campaigns across channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
+ Supports the optimization of local strategy by identifying new content formats, channels, and improving internal processes
+ Collaborates with agencies and internal teams to define editorial plans, ensure delivery, and track performance
+ Conducts social media listening to support strategic alignment of activities
Supports cluster-wide social media activities as applicable
Project Management


Coordinates internal material review processes to ensure timely and compliant delivery Conducts research and analysis on political, societal, or patient-relevant topics to inform strategy Provides support for Patient Advocacy initiatives and events Prepares internal presentations and updates

Required Skills:



Master's degree in Communications, Public Affairs or related fields Ideally, first hand experience in corporate and social media communication, e.g. gained through initial work experience in an agency setting Strong interest in the strategic use of digital platforms, including the use of AI tools in communication and content creation Reliable team player with a proactive can-do attitude and the ability to work in a cross-functional and multi-stakeholder setting Strong conceptual and structured thinking with attention to quality and detail and a focus on delivering and adding value Excellent personal organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work under tight timelines Interest in health, health policy and patient advocacy topics Fluent level in German and English
