Junior Client Relationship Manager Family Office

Zürich, ZH, Switzerland

Job Description

\\n Finders SA

Client:

A leading, multi family office offering a close-knit, collegial, fast-paced, front office team in Zurich and Geneva, working closely with their global offices (London etc). A client that Finders know intimately so can help explain the culture to any prospective, suitable applicant for this exciting client relationship management role at the junior/mid-level.

Position:

Are you a worker bee, hungry and driven for a new challenge? Perhaps you are within audit at a Big 4 or audit firm and are enjoying the client side. You might also be coming from the Advisory side of Big 4 - also fine. If you are now looking to bring this experience in-house, this is a rather unique front office client relationship role for family office clients, means that you would gain experience on projects that you would not normally be exposed to, at this level of role, within a large company, so rather rare and exciting!

As already mentioned above, your background should ideally be from a family office or another type of institution that understands the business, such as the Big 4 or perhaps a trust company. Those who are ACCA-qualified or studying towards, combined with the customer service, client service experience, as well as strong on all the administration that goes along with it, is the ideal type of profile. Would suit someone used to hard-working, Anglo-Saxon working style with like-minded high flyers, who are down to earth, humble and grounded. English is the key working language so you would need to be completely fluent/bi-lingual.

The company continues to grow it\\\'s Zurich and Geneva offices and go from strength to strength. We have 2 of these positions open, due to increase in work: one in Zurich and one in Geneva, so please apply which ever location interests you! The role of junior client relationship manager, is working within a medium-sized front office team reporting to the local Senior Client Relationship Manager of the Family Office in Switzerland. The position also involves close and regular interaction with Directors/Managers within the Family Office, as well as with external clients and business contacts together with all members of the Family Office Client Support Service, Banking and Compliance departments. The Geneva and Zurich team work very closely together. The role also entails developing and managing client relationships by providing professional advice/support and expert high-level administration. Last but by no means least, the job involves assisting the more senior Relationship Managers and Directors as regards ongoing business development and administration of client affairs.

To keep in mind that these roles, whilst an exciting front office position dealing with client service, can be very administratively burdensome. You will be doing all the more exciting tasks listed below, but also having to be involved in aspects such as workflows on the Family Office\\\'s systems, the payment of invoices, the opening and closing of bank accounts etc. Perhaps also doing some excel spreadsheets and reporting too. You will be able to advance quickly and the more experienced relationship managers will give you more responsibility at any time! You can for example be included in interesting trust/company structures (which hold properties, private equity investments, other investments), dealing with how the assets are structured across different jurisdictions (according to different company, trust and tax laws), the setting up of companies etc. Lots of client contact from day 1, so you need to be a \"roll up sleeves, gets thing done\" sort of person used to problem-solving, customer service and solution-finding. This means that you can gain experience working on projects that you would not normally get to be involved in within a large company at this level, so a rather unique job opportunity. (To keep in mind this is not an investment role, and this is not a banking role, although you will liaise with the Family Office investment team and their business development team).

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain long term relationships with clients which includes all forms of contact/communication with clients and their advisers
- Discuss with clients the Group offerings, e.g. family office services, corporate and trust structuring, tax and estate planning etc
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments/business divisions of the Group to effectively manage the clients\\\' affairs, including compliance, legal, trust, accounting, philanthropy and property

- Provide full administrative support on allocated clients, including but not limited to the preparation of banking, investment, formation and termination forms, internal and external reports, requesting payments, monitoring debtors, periodic risk reviews and obtaining compliance when necessary
- Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require, including those relating to internal business operational responsibilities and business development
Profile:

- Master\\\'s degree in Finance, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Around 3-5 years\\\' relevant experience from a Big 4 or family office for example
- An international background dealing with clients and comfortable dealing with their demands (big or small!)
- A pro-active team player, able to work independently with little guidance - not afraid to be curious, go the extra mile, ask questions, seek for information, take initiative
- Used to working in a fast-paced, international environment a must
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability and maturity to deal effectively with all levels of staff and management within the Group, third party professionals as well as very demanding clients
- Maintains client relations and actively seeks new business opportunities
- Is organized and works well even under pressure, a \"muck in\" sort of person
- Risk oriented mindset, sharp analytical mind, good numeracy skills and a strong commercial awareness
- Takes responsibility for tasks and sees them through to completion
- A malleable person, with the type of intelligence to adapt in various situations quickly and seamlessly, with good problem-solving skills - someone who likes and is good at organising
- Shares information and knowledge in a collaborative manner
- Bilingual/Mother-tongue English (working language) essential; French, Italian or German a plus but by no means a must
- Excellent MS Office skills, to include Excel
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Swiss or EU passport
- Already resident in Switzerland or strong, compelling reasons for moving to the Zurich or Geneva region
- Eligible for Swiss work permit (meaning Swiss, EU, EFTA nationals or equivalent only)
