We are looking for a technician to join the new group of Dr. Ella Hartenian in the Department of Immunobiology at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Our laboratory conducts research on how the immune system defends itself against viral infection and we are looking for an independent and motivated individual to carry out an independent line of research. The ideal candidate will have research experience that allows them to hit the ground running. He or she will also be responsible for supporting ongoing projects in the lab, maintaining lab stocks and participating in group lab meetings.

Contract length : 1 year with the possibility of renewing



Activity rate : 100%



Workplace : In person at the Department of Immunobiology, Biopole, Epalinges

Your responsibilities

Your responsabilities will include :
------------------------------------

Performing molecular biology, virology and cell culture assays
--------------------------------------------------------------


Analyzing collected data, troubleshooting and performing follow-up experiments
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------


Maintaining cells and viral stocks
----------------------------------


Maintaining a lab notebook
--------------------------


Participating in lab meetings, including giving presentations

Your qualifications

-----------------------


To start off our team we are looking for someone with the following profile


Certificat federal de capcite ( CFC) in biology or equivalent experience Strong interest in science and academic research Ability to conduct experiments independently Strong personal motivation Good communication skills Excellent English speaking and writing skills Detail-oriented and fast learner
