Project:

For our client F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to fill the role of Material Planner (m/f/d) within the Materials Management department at their Basel location. As backfill for the Aspire project (January-September 2026), you will be responsible for the material availability of a defined portfolio of direct materials and ensure smooth production.

In this role, you will manage planning parameters such as safety stock levels and lead times, control orders, coordinate material releases, and generate relevant reports (e.g., open orders, write-off risk). You will support detailed planning for scenarios and production shifts and handle the clarification and implementation of material shutdowns.

Your experience in materials planning, SAP knowledge, and analytical, systems thinking will make a crucial contribution to a stable and efficient supply chain. Teamwork, a proactive approach, and strong communication skills complete your profile.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Responsible for material availability and bottleneck management of an assigned product portfolio (Direct Materials) to ensure smooth production, taking into account expiration dates and procurement data. Participation in the creation and evaluation of planning scenarios, taking into account supplier delivery times and existing or future material availability. Optimal management of inventory Preparation of periodic reports, e.g., open order reports, write-off risk (shelflife) Leading the release board meeting, including creating the necessary report. To receive inquiries regarding material shutdowns and to obtain clarifications. Changes regarding material shutdowns will trigger shutdowns.

Requirements:

Completed commercial or technical training with further education or a completed degree in business administration or industrial engineering or similar relevant qualifications High competence in collaboration across interfaces, communication skills, proactive action and independent working style as well as teamwork skills Knowledge of SAP, Google tools, and analytical and networked thinking for solving supply chain problems Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.

Nice to Haves:

Knowledge of OMP and S4/Hana is an advantage.
