The Position
Orchestration and Exception Management (O&EM) is a new and fundamental capability for

Technical Operations (PT) in order to deliver a future portfolio of Cell & Gene Therapy products.

This portfolio of new products comes with the great promise to bring unprecedented medical advances to patients but also presents unique challenges: living products (e.g. cells) need to be delivered to patients in highly individualized supply chain models, which meet fast turn-around times at a zero-error quality level. Orchestration and Exceptions Management is one of three end-to-end value chain groups, responsible for the "virtual treatment journey" (data, transactions and documents). It is complementary to supply chain management that focuses on the "physical journey" (materials, specimens, product) and patient operations, responsible for the "patient journey".

The Opportunity


The O&EM Operations Functional Expert will support O&EM Operational activities which


include day to day orders, supply and distribution processes by ensuring timely execution of


business transactions, reliable system functionalities and compliant processing standards across the end-to-end value chain for the Cell & Gene Therapy. Responsibility to monitor the process, perform business transactions and provide issue resolution as well as support for system and/or interface related topics for the Cell & Gene Therapy Orchestration Platform along with SAP ERP. Moreover, you work closely with the broader PTC organization to document applicable operating standards, share best practice knowledge and provide training to employees on relevant procedures as well as contribute to the ERP transformation ASPIRE(project work) for FHLR (short for F. Hoffmann - La Roche) which will deploy ASPIRE's digital backbone for the locations Basel & Kaiseraugst.
ASPIRE is an enterprise-wide business transformation program that will harmonise all core end-to-end processes across the Roche enterprise and enable their execution from one standardised IT system template.*


Key Responsibilities & Job Requirements

Actively participate in the local ASPIRE team, providing updates on workstream activities and managing stakeholder relationships. Lead the organization of O&EM Operations System Readiness, including preparation, training, and SOPs. Manage change activities, such as impact assessments, long lead-time item identification, and transition management. Review processes and user requirements for O&EM Operations. Analyze process and design impacts, identifying roadblocks and long lead items for ASPIRE. Perform specific business transactions (e.g., sales orders, purchase orders) and monitor end-to-end value chain operations to ensure smooth execution and identify potential issues. Ensure reliable virtual journey operations, providing business support and resolving system/interface issues in daily operations. Train and support people on system procedures, share best practices, and maintain effective communication and collaboration across various functions. Coordinate master data maintenance for Cell and Gene Therapy platforms and SAP ERP systems. Participate in all project stages, including cutover, rehearsals, hypercare, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

You are an excellent communicator in English.


Furthermore, you bring the below qualifications and experience

Educational background in Project Management, IT , Pharma, Cell & Gene Therapies,or similar, Master degree preferred Prior business experience (3+ years) in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and/or
consumer goods industries]
Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain processes incl. customer Service & Order
Management
In-depth knowledge of SAP systems ERP, and EDI interfaces, and willing & curious to learn & deeply grasp new platforms (CGT Platform) Cross-functional project and operational experience in CGT operations (commercial & clinical), as well as understanding of ERP Implementation methodology, project management experience is a plus.
