, located in the center of Lugano (www.odshipping.com), is a company with over 20 years of experience, specialized in chartering shipping desk activities and steel break-bulk ship brokering, with worldwide operations. We are currently looking for an Operations Assistant for a full-time position based in our Lugano office.

Excellent written and spoken English, as well as advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office (mainly advance Excel's use)

Previous experience in similar roles such as shipping (mainly break-bulk shipments), logistics, or commodity trading will be considered a strong asset.

We are looking for a highly self-motivated person, able to work independently and with a high level of autonomy. We are a very small (2 people) but highly efficient team, and we are looking for someone who can join us with the same mindset and work ethic.

Due to the nature of our business -- managing vessels worldwide with continuous 7/7 operations -- the selected candidate must be able to:

Work 8 hours per day from the Lugano office, Monday to Friday (flexibility to discuss remote/smart working on specific weekdays, especially Monday and Friday). Be available to work remotely and always perform overtime before and after office hours when required, as well as be available during weekends (mainly to respond to emails and follow up on vessel operations).

The role will report primarily to the Operations Director's Assistant and to the Director.
