Thomson Reuters Enterprise Centre (TREC) owns and manages a significant number of modern, multi-lingual, highly scalable technology platforms, brand, content sets and other technologies as well as the associated intellectual property, that enable rapid, cost-effective development and deployment of information products to a global user base.

The TREC Legal department provides legal support for all aspects of TREC operations, including corporate governance, M&A activity, inter-company and third-party contracts, HR, protection of intellectual property, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

This role is within the General Counsel Office and directly reports to the General Counsel, TREC.

Please note this is a part time role - up to 25 hours per week

About the role

In this role as a Paralegal & Operations Analyst you will:

Provide support for day-to-day tasks in the TREC legal department, including legal research and drafting;

Support board and committee governance by updating Charters, preparing materials, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, etc.;

Manage the documents execution process ensuring that (i) contracts are signed in a timely and efficient manner, (ii) appropriate signatures, notarization and legalization are completed, (iii) external providers (e.g. notaries) are contacted, (iv) maintaining up to date records of contact personnel and authorized signatories and (v) documents are filed appropriately e.g. contract management system, shared drives and/or binders;

Organize and coordinate TRGR internal meetings and approval processes e.g. board meetings, investment/divestiture committee approvals;

Assist with the gathering of documents, fact finding and other preparations for projects;

Participate as appropriate in broader legal department projects and initiatives;

Prepare travel arrangements and expense reports, as needed, in compliance with company\\xe2\\x80\\x99s policies for the General Counsel;

Senior Executive Support: Maintain calendar, arrange video/telepresence and teleconferences, and prepare meeting agendas and guest visits. Prepare international itineraries and travel arrangements on a regular basis. Process expense reports in compliance with company\\xe2\\x80\\x99s policies;

Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.

About you

To be considered for the role of Paralegal & Operations Analyst you will have:

Bachelor\\xe2\\x80\\x99s degree or equivalent is required

Law firm or corporate legal team experience

Ability to learn quickly and become familiar with Thomson Reuters internal IT systems including contract drafting tools, electronic signature systems, contract management system, project management software and other databases and compliance systems

Experience in working with legal documents

Good attention to detail

Fluency in written and spoken English essential; additionally, fluency in written and spoken German preferred

Ability to prioritize work during periods of peak activity

Ability and desire to learn and broaden experience in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment

Prior experience working in large matrix organization and/or an international business is a plus
