We are seeking a Manager for our Relationship Management Team within the South Africa Desk at Swissquote Switzerland. Reporting to the Head of Business Development South Africa, this role oversees a team of Relationship Managers and Assistants and is responsible for driving revenue growth while building and maintaining long-term relationships with institutional clients, including asset managers, trustees, banks, and brokers.

Key responsibilities




Operations management:

Develop and maintain

strong relationships with institutional clients, understanding

their needs and delivering tailored financial solutions.

Implement, monitor and analyze

performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborate

with various internal departments to ensure relationship management and sales objectives align with broader business goals.

Identify and pursue

new business opportunities.

Team Management:


Leadership & Team Development +

Lead, support, and inspire

your team of Relationship Managers and Assistants.

Foster

a positive, motivating work environment where employees feel valued and connected to the team and organization.

Promote

collaboration, trust and cohesion among team members.

Escalate

potential conflicts to senior management and/or your HR Partner as needed.

Hiring & Onboarding +

Lead the recruitment process

in collaboration with your Talent Acquisition Partner.

Ensure

new hires receive a comprehensive introduction to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific responsibilities.
Performance Management +

Set clear performance expectations

, provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues proactively.

Manage underperformance

processes in alignment with senior management and your HR Partner.



Qualifications



8+ years of experience in relationship management and sales, ideally within the financial services industry. Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience motivating and guiding teams of Relationship Managers and Assistants. Solid understanding of financial products and services, relationship management, institutional sales processes and deep knowledge of industry trends and regulations. Experience working with or within the South African financial sector. Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. * Fluency in English and German is essential.
