\\n Identifies, builds, and develops new business opportunities for Vanguard. Assists in the ongoing retention of key accounts. Exhibits strong sales skills and product knowledge. Covers large and complex prospects and/or accounts.\\n

\\n

To be primarily responsible for new business development and relationship management with intermediary wholesale and selectively intermediary retail clients in the German part of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. To work directly with banks, asset managers and wealth managers, or other distributors to increase the promotion and sales of Vanguards products and services.

\\n

Core Responsibilities:

  • \\n
  • Develops strong relationships with senior and executive management of prospect and client organizations. Drives results by raising awareness of Vanguard\\\'s investment capabilities and services through targeted prospecting activities. Prospect activities may include cold calling, face-to-face meetings, targeted mailings, hosting seminars, and attendance at industry conferences.\\n
  • Implements long term relationship growth strategies for key territory prospects. Covers large and complex prospects and/or accounts.\\n
  • Achieves established sales and retention goals through personal direction of all executive and staff level activities of the sales process.\\n
  • Develops a strategic sales plan with other sales executives for a specific territory and/or target client segment to efficiently identify quality new business relationships and leverage Vanguard capabilities for maximum success.\\n
  • Effectively presents Vanguard\\\'s investments capabilities and services to prospects, clients, consultants and industry organizations through written, verbal, and electronic media.\\n
  • Uses expertise of market and competitive environments to help position Vanguard\\\'s services appropriately.\\n
  • Develops knowledge of regulatory environment and ensures that Vanguard operates in compliance with applicable regulations.\\n
  • Coaches, collaborates, and provides insight and direction to less experienced sales executives and internal partners.\\n
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.\\n

What it takes:

\\n
  • \\n
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred. CFA preferred.\\n
  • Eight years related experience. Five years of sale experience preferred.\\n
  • Superior oral and written communication skills in German and English.\\n
  • Demonstrated executive presence, poise, and presentation skills.\\n
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly and resourcefully to changing situations\\n
  • Excellent relationship management skills.\\n
  • Thorough knowledge of investments and competitive environment.\\n
