Position Summary

As a Senior Compliance Counsel, you will provide guidance & advice related to Compliance matters, focusing on Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML), as well as lead Nestl\\xc3\\xa9\\xe2\\x80\\x99s supply chain grievance management process.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Compliance Counsel

\\n

\\n


Sanctions:

\\n
  • \\n
  • Provide guidance & advice in Sanctions compliance matters, including day-to-day processes and operations, risk assessments, compliance plans and updates, to a wide variety of stakeholders including Legal and Compliance (L&C) in Zones, Globally Managed Businesses (GMBs), and Corporate Functions, Businesses and Operations\\n
  • Lead and coordinate the Sanctions Compliance Competence Center (SCCC)\\n
  • Maintain and update Group-wide Sanctions risk mitigation measures, such as e.g. Sanctions Compliance Standard, US Sanctions Recusal Standard, central screening, training, communication, Sanctions Compliance Meetings, audits, etc.\\n
  • Mandate and coordinate external counsel advice/support in Sanctions related matters\\n
  • Monitor developments in relevant sanctions regimes (UN, US, EU, UK, Switzerland) and ensure internal communication on them\\n

Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML):

\\n
  • \\n
  • Perform regular reviews and updates to policies covering Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption, Gift, Meals & Entertainment, Government Meetings, Anti-Retaliation, and oversee related communication efforts\\n
  • Identify anti-money laundering risk exposures and implement effective controls across different functional areas\\n
  • Support enterprise-wide third-party risk management including a focus on third-party risk screening and diligence policies and procedures, related workflows and training, as well as contractual controls around third-parties, including suppliers, clients, sales consultants, contractors, and joint venture partners\\n
  • Support the Company\\xe2\\x80\\x99s leadership and teams strike the right balance to mitigate risk while improving effectiveness and agility of the program in a highly dynamic, global business environment\\n

Supply Chain Grievance:

\\n
  • \\n
  • Lead Nestl\\xc3\\xa9\\xe2\\x80\\x99s supply chain grievance management process\\n
  • Manage the grievance handling process including grievance receipt, identification, investigation, remediation and closure\\n
  • Assess and prioritize cases according to standard protocols and advance them in a timely manner\\n
  • Work collaboratively with relevant departments, partners and direct suppliers to support and facilitate the investigation and resolution of high priority cases\\n
  • Actively monitor case progress and update the grievance log and relevant files regularly\\n
  • Develop progress reports, make recommendations on specific cases and present them to meetings to relevant departments\\n
  • Train relevant personnel on proper handling and identification of grievance to build capacity across the entire organization\\n
  • Measure, evaluate and maintain the effectiveness of the supply chain grievance management process to ensure that performance targets are achieved while continually looking for ways to enhance delivery\\n

What will make you successful

\\n

\\n
  • \\n
  • LL.M, Bachelor of Law, JDE or MBA\\n
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in Legal & Compliance including significant sanctions expertise within a global environment\\n
  • Previous relevant business experience to understand the operations and go-to-market programs at a global manufacturing company\\n
  • Knowledge on Sanctions regulations, international ABC and AML laws, including US and international guidelines, and effective risk mitigation processes and programs\\n
  • Knowledge on focused topics risk exposures and effective controls across a broad sweep of process areas, including for example, charitable donations, sponsorships, third-party payments, discounts and incentives, real estate transactions, etc.\\n
  • Good understanding of global supply chains, in particular agricultural supply chains, and related human rights and environmental risks\\n
  • Experience in managing supply chain social and environmental issues, including through engagement with direct and indirect suppliers, is a plu\\n
  • Great interpersonal and influence skills to bring all needed stakeholders together to work as one seamless team to support our business while maintaining a robust compliance posture\\n
  • Superior common sense, demonstrable business judgment, and decisiveness\\n
  • High attention to process and organization and outstanding analytical, written and verbal communication skills\\n
  • Team player & collaborative workstyle\\n
  • Fluency in English is essential. Other languages are a plus\\n
