As the primary contact for security topics & Senior CyberSecurity Specialist, you will take responsibility for security reviews across the project landscape. You will conduct security assessments for sensitive IT systems and systematically evaluate risks stemming from configurations, network architectures, and software designs. Within the team, you will develop and implement appropriate security measures. In addition, you will provide cross-project consultation on security requirements and proactively contribute your expertise during the architecture, concept, and implementation phases. Your role will also include evaluating architectural and design decisions through threat modeling and identifying potential attack vectors at an early stage.
To succeed and innovate in this role, you'll need:

• Academic Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Certifications: Relevant advanced training or industry-recognized certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, OSCP, CISM, CEH).
• Professional Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in the cybersecurity domain, with proven expertise in security assessments, architectural security reviews, and offensive security techniques including penetration testing.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of modern IT and security architectures, covering both network-level and application-layer security concepts and frameworks.
• Infrastructure & Platform Knowledge: Practical experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and ideally hyperconverged infrastructure (e.g., Nutanix, Cisco HyperFlex).
• Adaptability & Mindset: Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in dynamic, high-tempo environments, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Consulting & Communication Skills: Structured and analytical work approach, paired with strong client-facing and advisory skills. Confident presence and ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken German; English proficiency at B2 level or higher is a strong advantage.
• Additional Assets: prior military background as a senior NCO or officer is highly regarded, particularly in roles involving security, strategy, or leadership; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German; English proficiency at B2 level or higher is a plus
