You will play a critical role in analyzing and modeling data to drive business intelligence, solve complex challenges and support data migration efforts toward modern data architectures. This position offers the opportunity to engage with stakeholders, improve systems and deliver actionable insights that influence strategic decisions. Responsibilities
Conduct impact assessments by analyzing and mapping as-is vs. to-be data entities for application re-wiring
Collect, extract and analyze data to support business intelligence for both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems, formulate problem statements and apply analytics for resolution
Lead efforts in understanding data stored in legacy data warehousing systems and support migration to a central data lake
Evaluate existing data models and databases to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with schemas
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring seamless execution of data workflows
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders using visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Conduct regular stakeholder engagements to understand their data needs and propose data-driven solutions to business challenges
Requirements
Proven experience translating business goals into scalable and efficient data models supporting long-term solutions
Extensive experience with data warehousing, particularly in migrating data to modern distributed/on-prem data lakes and relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
Strong expertise in SQL, with proven experience working in mixed data environments, such as legacy DWH and distributed systems
Proficiency with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI to present actionable insights effectively
Hands-on experience with data transformation and modeling tools, including Alteryx, Dataiku, Tableau Prep, Hackolade or Erwin
Deep knowledge of banking/financial data products and expertise in data classification/sensitivity within the financial sector
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical understanding of statistics and data quality improvement practices
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English, knowledge of German is a plus
