We are looking for a dynamic and strategic professional to join the Rare Disease Executive Office and Strategic Projects team as a Senior Global Project Manager. This role combines high-level strategic thinking, project leadership, and operational excellence to drive key cross-functional initiatives across the Novo Nordisk Rare Disease organisation.
The Position
As a Senior Global Project Manager, you will act as a strategic partner to the Rare Disease senior management and a trusted advisor to Rare Blood - and Rare Endocrine Disorders commercial teams. The role offers a unique opportunity to drive commercial strategy processes, support brand planning and governance, manage cross-functional projects and strategy events, and optimise business operations in a highly innovative and complex environment.
You will facilitate informed decision-making, manage select commercial committees, and ensure effective engagement with stakeholders at global and affiliate level, all while orchestrating cross-functional initiatives to achieve strategic goals within the Rare Disease portfolio. The position will be based in Rare Disease, Zurich (Switzerland) and reporting to the Senior Director, Rare Disease Executive Office.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic partnership and support to the Rare Disease senior management team by offering strategic insights, driving implementation of key projects, and ensuring efficient decision-making and progress on strategic initiatives.
• Support Rare Blood Disorders/Rare Endocrine Disorders commercial team with strategic brand planning and governance activities, portfolio strategy process, and internal launch events.
• Lead and coordinate major strategic cross-functional projects, including initiatives such as the RareDNA cultural program, efficiency and process optimisation projects, new process and/or operating models design, and other strategic projects.

• Organise and conduct select internal meetings and presentations, such as the strategy review meetings with affiliates or the global Rare Disease summit, ensuring stakeholder alignment and partnership across functions and organisational levels.

• Serve as the key liaison with other SVP areas and represent Rare Disease in relevant internal forums and steering groups.

Qualifications

Your exceptional communication and analytical skills, combined with your strong commercial acumen, have consistently driven business success.
In addition, you will have:

• Advanced degree in Economics, Business, or Scientific field; and similar.
• 3+ years of experience in management consulting, strategic marketing, and/or project management roles, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong expertise in driving complex cross-organisational initiatives, business processes, and project management, with multiple internal and external senior stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and value chain, with strong analytical skills to assess business and organisational dynamics.
• Proven experience working across global, regional, and affiliate level, alongside track record navigating in cross-cultural and geographical boundaries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• Independent, strategic thinker with strong judgment, resilience, and the ability to influence across levels.
• Proactive, result-oriented, highly structured, and a master with MS Office - especially PowerPoint.
• Fluency in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
